Bar Vespa Loosely modeled after Roman enotecas with a touch of New York glam, Bar Vespa on the Upper East Side is part wine bar, part luxe lounge. Owner Leonard LoRusso serves 100 Italian and Spanish wines in regionally themed flights, and panini and cheese stations feature Balthazar breads and Artisanal formaggi. Chef Kyle Kingrey (Centrofly, Vespa) dispatches a range of assaggini, or small plates, from the open kitchen. For scenesters, there is also a section with low-slung banquettes, a DJ booth and table service.
